Bharat Pavilion National Day at Expo 2025 Osaka: Bharat Mandap Showcases Culture, Innovation and India–Japan Friendship

The India Pavilion, known as Bharat Mandap, marked India’s 79th Independence Day with a spectacular celebration of its National Day at Expo 2025 Osaka. The event highlighted not only India’s cultural diversity but also its growing global presence and deepening partnership with Japan.

The day began with the Flag Raising Ceremony at the National Day Hall, followed by a keynote address by Ambassador Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan. He emphasized that India’s presence at Expo 2025 is more than a cultural showcase—it is a reaffirmation of the India–Japan friendship and a joint vision for the future. Special remarks were also delivered by Koji Haneda, Commissioner General of World Expo 2025 Osaka, who commended the richness of India’s display and underlined the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.

The official ceremony was led by a distinguished Indian delegation headed by Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman & Managing Director of ITPO and Commissioner General of the India Pavilion. Their presence underscored India’s commitment to combining cultural representation with modern innovation on the global stage.
