As India cements its position as the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Poland is emerging as its most vital gateway to the European Union. At the recent India–Poland Economic Dialogue on May 7, policymakers and industry titans gathered to bridge the gap between New Delhi’s manufacturing push and Poland’s technological prowess. Warsaw, May 7 — The Embassy of India in Poland, in collaboration with the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RIG) Katowice, hosted the India–Poland Economic Dialogue at the Chancery premises. The event brought together policymakers, business leaders, and industry representatives to explore new opportunities in India–Poland trade and investment.
The dialogue was attended by Kinga Gajewska, Member of Parliament and Chairperson of the Polish Indian Parliamentary Group, Tomasz Zjawiony, President of RIG Katowice, and representatives from the Ministry of Development and Technology, Ministry of Digital Affairs, Employers of Poland, and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK). Member companies of RIG Katowice also participated, reflecting strong interest in expanding economic cooperation with India.
India Invites Polish Companies to Invest

In his opening remarks, Mohan Lal, Charge d’Affaires, highlighted India’s rapidly growing market and invited Polish companies to invest in sectors such as textiles, tourism, technology, and infrastructure.
Presentations on India’s Textiles and Tourism sectors provided Polish guests with insights into opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Panel Discussion on India–EU Free Trade Agreement
A panel discussion in Polish on “India–EU FTA: Future of India–Poland Trade & Investment” added depth to the dialogue. Distinguished panelists included:

The session was moderated by J.J. Singh, President of the Indo‑Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Discussions focused on the potential of the India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to unlock new opportunities in digital transformation, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and resilient supply chains.

The India–Poland Economic Dialogue underscored the growing momentum in bilateral relations. With India emerging as one of the fastest‑growing economies and Poland positioned as a dynamic hub within the European Union, both countries see significant potential in expanding cooperation across trade, technology, investment, and innovation ecosystems.
