A Strong History of Participation
India’s consistent participation in the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) over the years has showcased the depth and diversity of its export capabilities - from textiles and pharmaceuticals to IT services, engineering goods, and organic products. These active engagements have not only helped Indian businesses mark a strong presence on the expo’s global platform but also reinforced the country’s intent to deepen economic ties with Indonesia and the wider ASEAN region. This enduring commitment has fostered valuable partnerships, spurred export growth, and built trust between the two economies.
At the 39th edition of TEI, India’s involvement reached a historic high, with 944 Indian visitors - marking the largest foreign delegation at the event. The expo featured vibrant cultural showcases, high-level forums, and significant business engagements, including 33 MoUs and Letters of Intent signed across key commodities. The India-Indonesia Business Forum, factory visits, and recognition through the Primaduta Awards highlighted both commercial success and the deepening people-to-people ties. With USD 7.46 billion in transactions, TEI 2024 affirmed India’s vital role in Indonesia’s trade ecosystem as both countries celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations.
Why TEI 2025 Matters
With India and Indonesia working more closely than ever before on economic cooperation, TEI 2025 offers a timely opportunity to build on this momentum. Indian businesses especially SMEs and startups are being encouraged to explore emerging sectors, engage with Indonesian counterparts, and forge new connections in a fast-growing region.
More than 1,000 Indonesian and international companies are expected to exhibit, and India’s presence is once again anticipated to be a key highlight, bringing innovation, quality, and a spirit of collaboration to the floor.
A Launchpad for New Partnerships
TEI 2025 offers Indian companies a gateway to not just Indonesia, but the entire ASEAN region. From structured B2B matchmaking and investment forums to sector-specific showcases, the event is designed for real engagement. And with rising demand for green technologies, digital solutions, and sustainable manufacturing, there’s huge scope for Indian industries to lead and collaborate.
The Indian delegation will also benefit from support by government bodies and trade councils, ensuring that both business opportunities and bilateral goals are aligned.
Looking Ahead Together
For India, TEI isn’t just about exports it’s about building enduring relationships. It’s a space where stories are shared, trust is built, and new futures are imagined.
As we head into TEI 2025, India's participation shall returns not just as a participant but as a valued partner in shaping the future of regional trade and innovation.
