During the visit, EAM Jaishankar called on Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, where both leaders reviewed the India-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership. Discussions focused on ongoing collaborative efforts in renewable energy, climate change mitigation, sustainable development, and green technologies. The leaders also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, highlighting their shared commitment to democracy, rule of law, and multilateralism. Dr. Jaishankar expressed India’s heartfelt appreciation for Denmark's support in countering terrorism and for standing in solidarity with India.

In a separate meeting with Speaker of the Danish Parliament Søren Gade, EAM Jaishankar emphasized the importance of expanding parliamentary diplomacy and people-to-people ties, fostering deeper engagement between lawmakers and civil societies of the two nations.

A substantive discussion also took place with Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. The two foreign ministers undertook a comprehensive review of India-Denmark bilateral relations and explored new areas of cooperation. They committed to maintaining close coordination during Denmark’s tenure as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2025–2026, particularly on global challenges such as climate change, counterterrorism, and equitable development.

Furthering economic dialogue, EAM met with Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Morten Bødskov, where both sides discussed ways to boost India-Denmark trade and investment. Dr. Jaishankar welcomed the growing interest of Danish companies in India's renewable energy, green hydrogen, healthcare, and maritime shipping sectors. He also encouraged greater Danish FDI in India's green growth and digital transformation sectors.

As part of the visit, EAM also engaged with members of the Indian diaspora in Denmark, acknowledging their role as a living bridge between the two countries and appreciating their contributions to Danish society.

This visit reinforces the momentum in India-Denmark ties, especially under the Green Strategic Partnership, a model for international cooperation focused on sustainability, innovation, and inclusive growth. It also underlines the broader vision of strengthening India-EU relations, promoting global climate action, and ensuring resilient supply chains in a changing geopolitical landscape.
